fantômes

A Little Ghost Story: The man's spirit was leaving his body, starting from his face and leading down to his chest, ending with his legs. His skin was deadly cold and only his insides were getting warmer. After his face was almost gone, his blushing cheeks started to burn, illuminating bright and dangerous fire. A ring of fire surrounded his body, burning the rest of the flesh that remained. The room got really hot and then started to get cooler and cooler the more the man's face was burning. All you could see now was the faint outline of his face. The fire died down and his flesh vanished in the vibrant smoke. All your eyes could see was the outline of his skeleton, just the leftover bones that were not yet gone. The room got icy cold and the blackness could make any person shiver with unconditional fear. The darkness surrounded him and the light from above was behind him, coming closer and closer to lead him to the next life. The light got brighter and more luminant until all his flesh and bones were gone. The man now a ghost of the past sat there waiting for the light to take him away, now with no face and only the hope for a new beginning.
Behind The Scenes: Happy Halloween of 09'! Our goal was to make a series of photos that represent something Halloween related, specifically ghosts or spirits. I think my pictures look like a ghost. The ghost in this series is Mr. Whiton and over the photos his looks change, but still remains eerie and spirit like. All of them are black and white accept the second one, which I think is my favorite. I like how you see the outline of Mr. Whiteton's face, but then he's surrounded by fire and he starts blending into the smoke. The first one is cool because it looks like he may have two heads or his spirit is coming out of his body. The third one is really tight because it looks like he is a skeleton and this picture formed without photo shop or anything. The last picture the person's face is reversed and the background is white and the person becomes dark black. The beginning starts off as a spirit leaving a person's body and ending with the ghost waiting for the after life.

rule of thirds:)

These are our rule of thirds. The rule of thirds is designed into three spaces. 1/3 of the picture is of that object, which can be a person or physical object. The other 2/3 of the picture is of the negative space. This is harder than it looks, but I like how my pictures turned out. My favorite one is the one of the church across the street which i took looking through the window and I like how the rain drops are the main focus and take up most of the negative space.

Library:)

This was our library shoot which we did for Marta our librarian because we need pictures of the drew library for publicity. I think this was our hardest shoot because its difficult to take pics of people when they aren't posing. It is also hard to take pictures of people who look like their interested in the book they are reading. I tried to take pictures of people that were actually reading not just pretending to read:)
